The 2011 Popcorn sale starts August 15th. A popcorn Sale Information Kit, including a Sale Order Form, will be mailed to each Scouting family and will arrive the week of August 8th. Additional forms are available for pick-up at the Scout Achievement Center and can also be downloaded at
www.danbeard.org/popcorn.
2011 SCOUT GOAL = $600
For every scout that sells $600 in popcorn will earn the following:
1)Get the Zyclone and a $600 club patch
2) Your choice to attend Fun-with-son, Resident Camp (a.k.a. Adventure Camp), or District Day Camp. The Pack will cover all fees to attend one of the three listed events. The Senior Webelo Scouts who meet this goal will have funds forwarded to the Boy Scout unit they join and those funds will be placed into their individual Boy Scout Accounts.
3) 2011-2012 Annual Pack Dues will be waived and/or reimbursed.
Everyone in the $600 club will be invited to a special recognition event at a Cyclones hockey game in January. Tickets will be mailed directly to each scout. These scout names have to be turned in by October 7th to Dan Beard Council.

Kroger Show-N-Sell

On Saturday, October 22nd - the Pack will be having a Popcorn Show-N-Sell which is being held at the Finnytown Krogers. We are only allowed to be there for no more than 4 hours and we were given the time of 11:00am until 3:00PM.
Den schedules will be created and posted on 10/18/2011 so check back. If you cannot attend during your allocated time, please attend when you can, if you can.
Money earned during your scout's shift will be averaged out among those who are helping and will count towards your final sales numbers.

Mid-Sale $1,000 Circus Lock-in
Scouts with $1000 in sales by Monday, October 10th will be invited to experience a once in a lifetime overnight experience. In partnership with the Cincinnati Circus Company and the Western Sports Mall, the Danbeard council will treat these motivated sellers to a night of entertainment

Mystery House Contest
This year Dan Beard council is placing special prizes in "Mystery Homes" throughout the Dan Beard Council service area. There will be 20 homes this year scattered throughout the Dan Beard Council.
A Scout that approaches one of the selected homes, and asks them to purchase some Trail's End Popcorn will be awarded a special prize right on site. This year each mystery house will have an iPod Touch as the prize.
Clues to the Mystery House locations will be posted on the council's website located at:

Each Thursday by 4:00PM will have new hints available to help the scouts locate these 20 mystery homes. If anyone Registers to the Danbeard Popcorn Facebook page, you will receive these clues exactly one hour earlier.

Get your Scouts ready for a chance to win a

For the next four Mondays (October 10, 17th, 24th, and 31st), we will have a weekly drawing. One DS 3D will be awarded each week to the lucky winner!
To be eligible to enter the drawing, a scout must submit a completed official Popcorn Sales Sheets via fax by 10am on Monday. The drawing will be conducted at noon!
Each completed sheet will be entered into the drawings each week after it is received so that all submitted forms from a scout will roll over to the next drawing.
There is no maximum number of sheets that can be submitted. Naturally, any scout can only win once.
The drawings will take place on October 10, 17th, 24th, and 31st.

$1,500 Extreme Seller Experience
Scouts selling $1,500 of popcorn or more will qualifiy to attend an experience like no other at Dave and Buster's in January.
Names of scouts who qualify need to be turned into council by November 7th. Qualifying scouts will receive their invitation by mail individually from Council.

Military Product Donation Recognition
Scouts selling $100 in military donations will receivie a special patch from Trail's End. Scouts selling $250 in military donations will receive a $25 camp voucher redeemable towards any Dan Beard Council camping fee for the summer of 2012.

Miscellaneous Prizes
The TOP salesman in council will throw out the 1st pitch at next year's "Scoutnight at the Reds Game!!" and will drop the 1st puck at the Cyclones Popcorn Celebration game.
Everyone who sells popcorn will receive a Reds Voucher for select games in the 2012 baseball season

Trails End Scholorship
Scouts who sell at least $2,500 (either online, face-to-face or both) within the 2011 calendar year will receive 6% of their total sales invested in their own college scholarship account. That's $0.06 of every dollar you sell, and you only have to hit the $2,500 minimum one time. Once you are enrolled in the Trails End Scholorship, 6% of your sales each year will be added to your account. Remember, once you sell $2,500 worth of popcorn (the younger you are, the better this becomes), every popcorn sale throughout your scout's scouting career (up until he is 18) will count towards this scholorship!
